Dutch Actress.  Vogel, born Ellen Marie Elze Anthing, had a long span as an actress in the fields of television, film, and stage in Holland.   She appeared in such movies as Makkers Staakt uw Wild Geraas (1960), The Knife (1961), Monsieur Hawarden (1969), and De Tweeling (2002).   Vogel also appeared on the television programs Van oude mensen, de dingen die voorbijgaan (1975-1976) and Zonder Ernst (1992-1998).   Her appearance in Zonder Ernst earned her the Golden Picture best actress award from the Dutch Academy in 1996.   For her contributions to acting, Vogel was also awarded the Knight of the Order of the Crown by the King of Belgium in 1959 and the Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion by the Queen of the Netherlands in 1995.    She was known as the “grande dame of acting” in the Netherlands.
