Lars Ekborg (Lars Ekborg)
Actor, Comedian. He acted in many musicals, revues, films, theatres and on radio and television in his native Sweden during his career. Among others, he was noted for the films “Sommaren med Monika” (by Ingmar Bergman, 1953), ”Gula Divisionen” (1954) och ”Att angöra en brygga” (1965). He was educated at Calle Flygare´s Theatre School and The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm 1948-1951. He was a stage actor as well as a screen actor. Altogether he made 48 roles on film. He also performed, and recorded, some comedian monologues. The most appreciated one is “Bunta ihop Dom!” mocking hypocrisy and bigotry. He was the voice of Merlin in the Swedish version of Disney’s “The Sword in the Stone” (1963). (bio by: Peter Robsahm)
