Swedish Actor, Writer, Director and Singer. A many talanted person, who had his major breakthrough as ‘Karlsson’ in the TV-series ”Hemsöborna” (1966), based on August Strindberg´s novel. He also was recognized for another Strindberg play, ”Röda Rummet”. He worked with director Ingmar Bergman, acted at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, and through the 1990s, he ran his own theatre, Teater Brunnsgatan Fyra, where he was acting as well as directing. He wrote many songs, and released several records, for example ”Grovdoppa”. For the broad audience, and for lots of children, he will always be connected with the works of Astrid Lindgren; beloved as the father of Emil i Lönneberga, as ’Skalle-Per’ in ”Ronja Rövardotter”, in ”Rasmus på luffen” and ”Bröderna Lejonhjärta”.
