Actor. A versatile performer, he is best known for his role as police Sgt. Warren Reed in the three “Robocop” films. During his 50-year career he appeared in dozens of television shows,  including “Gunsmoke,” “Tarzan,” “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Happy Days,” “The Jeffersons,” “Maude,” “Hill Street Blues” and “E.R.” His movie credits include The Cincinnati Kid (1965), The Man (1972), Walking Tall Part II (1975), Buffalo Bill and the Indians (1976), Fast Forward (1985), Miracle Mile (1988),  and Glam (2002), his last film.  His distinctive voice was  also heard in the animated series “Harlem Globetrotters” and “Scooby-Doo.” (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
