Nelson De La Rosa (Nelson De La Rosa)
Actor, Folk Figure. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was one of the smallest men in the world, standing only 33 inches tall. He is best remembered for his role as Majai in the film “The Island of Dr. Moreau” (1997), which is said to have inspired the character “Mini-me” in the spy spoof “Austin Powers.” He also worked as a circus artist, touring around the world.
