Warren Clarke (Warren Clarke)
Actor. He will perhaps be best known for playing ‘Dim’ in the controversial Stanley Kubrick film “A Clockwork Orange” (1971). After dropping out of school at the age of fifteen, he found a job as a copy boy at the Manchester News. He would develop an interest in acting and began performing in regional theater. During the 1960s, he began to appear on British TV in such programs as “The Avengers” and ” Wednesday Play”, prior to making a name for him self in the gang-themed “A Clockwork Orange”. He appeared opposite Clint Eastwood in the Action-Thriller “Firefox” (1982). He will be best remembered by TV audiences for playing ‘Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel’ in the series “Dalziel and Pascoe” (1996 to 2007). (bio by: C.S.)
