Brooks Benedict

Actor. After serving in the US Army during World War I, he held down several odd jobs in Hollywood before turning to acting in the early 1920s. A versatile utility performer, his credits include “The Freshman” (1925), “Showboat” (1936), “The Housekeeper’s Daughter” (1939), “The Las Vegas Story” (1952) and “Houseboat” (1958). For television, he was a regular on the “Four Star Playhouse” series. He died at the age of 71 in Houston, Texas. (bio by: John “J-Cat” Griffith)
