Entertainer. A stage comedian, he was the successor of Will Kemp. Where Kemp was a ‘clown’, Armin’s style of comedy was different, as can be seen in later Shakespeare plays where the part of the ‘fool’ becomes less physical and more prone to song and amusing philosophy.
