Paul Hubschmid

Actor. Born in Schönenwerd, Switzerland, he had a successful international career in theatre, television,  and films.  His movie debut was in “Füsilier Wipd” (1938). During the 1950s he worked in Hollywood under the name Paul Christian in films such as “Palace Hotel” (1952), “No Time for Flowers” (1952) and “The Beast from 20.000 Fathoms” (1953). His many credits include “Mein Traum” (1940), “Altes Herz Wird Wieder Jung” (1943), “Bagdad” (1949), “Ungarische Rhapsodie” (1954), “Heute Heiratet Mein Mann” (1956), “La Morte Viene Dallo Spazio” (1958), “Journey into the City” (1959), Fritz Lang’s hits “Der Tiger von Eschnapur” (1959) and “Das Indische Grabmal” (1959), “Le Majordome” (1965), “Funeral in Berlin” (1966), “Bolero” (1985) and “Linda” (1991).
