Actress, Dancer. Originally a ballerina, she was a star of the Swedish stage and screen for more than 70 years. Raised in Stockholm she began ballet lessons at five and quickly found work as a child dancer with the Royal Opera. She continued her appearances there until around 1930 when she made her silver screen bow as a dancer in “Fridis visor”. Her first significant screen credit came as Anna in “The Varmlanders” (1932); over the next 60 years she was to appear in roughly an equal number of film features though the majority of her work was to be on the stages of Stockholm’s various theatres. Annalisa earned praise as Lisa Larsson in the comedy “Kyss hennie!” (1940), as Nanette from the 1946 “Sailors”, and as Gull in 1947’s musical “Don’t Give Up”. During the 1950s she took part in Arne Mattsson’s series of crime thrillers and continued a busy schedule up to her 1993 retirement with the television series “Snoken”. She earned one final credit in the 2004 film “Annalisa och Sven” and died of the complications of advanced age.
