Actress. Born Mariska Megyzsi to Hungarian parents, Mae Madison began her career as a child dancer with The Megland Kiddies before transitioning to films, debuting in the Fox silent “The Play Girl” (1928), directed by Arthur Rosson. She spent most of her career at Warner Bros., starring alongside John Barrymore in “The Mad Genius” (1931) and John Wayne in “The Big Stampede” (1932.) She was also a favorite of director Busby Berkeley who featured her in many of his musical extravaganzas including “Gold Diggers of 1933” (1933), “Folies Bergère de Paris” (1934) and “Redheads on Parade” (1935).
