American Actress. Coulson, who worked as a camera assistant on director David Lynch’s 1977 debut film, the cult-classic ‘Eraserhead’, will best be remembered for playing the “Log Lady” on the ‘Twin Peaks’ television show (1990-1991), as well as the movie ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me’ (1992). It was during the filming of ‘Eraserhead’ that the two came up with the idea that would eventually become the iconic character. Among her other film credits were ‘The Amputee’ (1974), ‘Trick or Treats’ (1982), ‘Femme Fatale’ (1991), ‘The Secret Life of Houses’ (1994), ‘Calvin Marshall’ (2009) and ‘Redwood Highway’ (2013). Among TV series and made-for-TV movies she appeared in were ‘Ring of the Musketeers’, ‘The Four Diamonds’, ‘Psych’ and ‘Portlandia’. As a camera assistant, she worked on ‘Youngblood’ (1978), ‘Modern Romance’ (1981), ‘Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’ (1982) and ‘Night on Earth’ (1991). Her first marriage was to actor Jack Nance, who starred in ‘Eraserhead’ and ‘Twin Peaks’. Coulson, who reprised her role as “Log Lady” and had filmed new episodes of ‘Twin Peaks’, slated for the 2017 TV season, died of cancer. (bio by: Louis M.)
